A communication driver is a process of the X Vision system that presides over the physical connection with the peripheral devices (PLCs, control units, boards, network analyzers, etc.), taking care to query the data and send the commands according to the programming carried out by means of the relative configurators.
Communication can take place via serial line or fieldbus, depending on the controlled device.
The communication drivers are automatically installed with the X Vision package and reside in the DRIVERS folder of the installation directory.

The execution of a supervision project typically requires one or more communication drivers to connect with the monitored devices.
Since the use of the communication drivers varies according to the peripherals used in each system, it is up to the programmer to define which drivers are associated with the current project. The drivers associated to a project are automatically activated when the Supervisor is started.
