To use a sampling group as a data source for a dynamic trend, the following configuration specifications must be met:

 

Activation type

The type of activation of the block must be set to "Continuous".


Items

The Items to be sampled can be either:


    1. Analog
    2. Digital


Note: you can also specify the Text Item type but in this case the system will always record the value 0.


Item fields 

It is possible to perform the sampling of only the  Value field for the item : even if you specify a different field, the system will still record in the log file the value of the Value field.

Enabling dynamic data

To enable dynamic data management, select the Enable check box on the Dynamic Data tab. The Duration field allows you to specify the size, in hhh: mm: ss, of the dynamic data buffer: it defines the historical depth of the dynamic trend. The configured buffer period must be greater than or equal to the displayed trend interval.
