Trend animations can be configured as Historical Trends or Dynamic Trends.

A Dynamic trend displays the trend of the sampled quantities updating automatically with the specified period.
It has a reduced historical depth determined by the value of the period configured for the dynamic data of the sampling group that feeds it and is not able to access information sampled in a previous activation of the system: it accesses data stored in volatile memory.

An historical trend is not updated periodically; It has unlimited historical depth, unlimited historical depth, accessing the sampled data to disk during the previous activations.
