The beeper, if enabled, is activated as soon as the status of an Item changes from the Normal state to an alarm state, or changes from a recognized state to an alarm state with a higher priority.
To enable the beeper:


    1. Choose the Alarms command from the Configure menu of the X Editor IDE. The system shows the Alarm Configuration window.
    2. Select the Beeper Enable field.
    3. To confirm, select OK.


The beeper is silenced automatically by the system at the time of acknowledgment of one or all the alarms. It is also possible to set up command animations to perform silencing actions, independent of alarm acknowledgment.



Note: The system also has functions for managing the beeper from Basic script.

In addition to the beeper, the occurrence of a new alarm causes the X Vision icon to flash in the tray area, if enabled. The flashing stops when a silence command is issued.
