Draw polygons and polylines
Polygon and Polylines tools allow us to draw irregular polygons and plylines. Given the nature of the shape, the insertion is more articulated than that of the other geometric shapes, and it is necessary to proceed as follows:
- After selecting the Polygon or Polylines tool , click a blank area on the page to define the first vertex.
- After releasing the mouse button, move the pointer to the coordinates of the next vertex. During the move, you can see a preview of the segment. When the pointer is in the desired position, click to define the vertex. Proceed in the same way to define the other vertices you want.
- To finish entering click with the right mouse button.
Note: pressing the left mouse button ends the insertion without defining a vertex at the point of click.
After insertion, you can change the shape of the figure by adding or removing vertices, or by changing the position of the existing vertices.
Selecting the command Reshape from the Edit menu, you can move existing vertices.
To add a new vertex, select the Add vertex command from the Edit menu and click a segment; to remove an existing vertex, select the Remove vertex command from the Edit menu and click on the vertex to be removed.
