Find and Replace
The Find in Page and Replace the page functions, activated from the Edit menu, help you locate and optionally replace a text string contained in the properties and / or in the scripts of the current page and animations contained therein.
The window Find and Replace looks like in the picture:

The Find field allows you to specify the text to be searched. The latest search carried out in the working session are stored and can be selected from the drop-down list.
The button to the right of the field displays a menu that simplifies the integration of most common special characters if the Find with has enabled the use of Wildcards or Regular Expressions.
By pressing the Find Next button the system locates the first (or the next) animation in whose properties the searched string has been found.
The Replace and Replace All buttons allow to replace all occurrences found with the specified text in the Replace with field.
Note: the Replace command replaces all occurrences within the animation, then locates the next animation in which at least one occurrence of the searched text is found.
The Replace With field and Replace and Replace All buttons are available only when the search window is in Replace.
Search scope
You can limit your search to only those areas that affect by selecting its checkbox: in particular the search can be extended or limited to the following areas:
- Text: The specified string is searched for in all the properties that represent a fixed text, e.g.:
- Name and class of the objects
- Support texts (e.g., command line scripts, fields, tags, etc..)
- All visible text (labels, tooltips, titles, etc.).
- Parameters of individual actions and/or Action lists
- Thresholds for decoding the value / text, prefixes and suffixes in text animations
- Tags and option codes in multiple-choice animations
- Names of pages and in linked page replacements
- Units of measurement and description of the pens in the trend.
- Expressions: The specified string is searched for in all the properties that represent the controlled item or expression relating to a dynamic property. By extension fall into this category also the name of the sampling group and of the items associated with the pens in a Trend.
- Script: The specified string is searched for in all scripts on the page or the objects it contains.
Search options
The checkbox Match case allows you to specify whether the search should take account of the difference between uppercase and lowercase letters;
The voice Search allows you to use special characters in the search criteria: if disabled, is searched for exactly the input text; otherwise you can enable the use of Wildcards and Regular Expressions to define pattern research. Both the syntax allow to define the structure of the searched text without knowing the actual characters that make it up. The elements most commonly used for both syntaxes are selectable from the side menu for the field Find, despite having the opportunity to introduce them manually. The same menu allows you to display the help for the selected syntax search.
