During configuration, the recipe files are managed directly by X-Editor, which activates the Configurator for editing files. The recipe file management therefore follows the general guidelines for managing any other project file.

During run-time the Viewer allows the opening and saving (also as a copy) of the recipe files but not the creation of new files. These commands are available in the File menu. In this chapter we analyze the operations of managing recipe files in this second case.
