Alarm management sends incoming alarms to the Alarm Summary. The summary is a video list that shows all the alarms still pending in the system, i.e. still active or no longer active but not yet recognized (Acknowledgment) and reset (Reset).

Acknowledgment is the operation by which the operator notifies the system that he has viewed the alarm.
The reset operation allows the system to eliminate the alarm from the Alarm Summary if and only if the alarm condition has returned.
