An Analog Output item type represents a physical or logical point controlled by the system, connected to an analog setpoint.

The configuration of the parameters of the Item allows you to define how the value of the Item will be processed. In particular it is possible to define:

    1. the unit of measure and the scale value of the Item

This icon marks the tool that allows the insertion of a AO item:

The specific data of an item of type Analog Output are:

Scale Category

Unit

Indicates the unit of measure (e.g.. KV, psi, rpm ...).

Min value

Minimum value that can take on the Item, under which the status becomes Out of Range and an alarm is generated. This limit also determines the minimum value which can be set to by the operator.

Max Value

Maximum value that can take on the Item, above which the status becomes Out of Range and an alarm is generated. This limit also determines the maximum value which can be set to by the operator.

Ratio

Specifies the multiplication factor of the Item value. For more information, please refer to the driver guide.

Bias

Indicates the offset of the Item value after multiplication by the factor entered in field Ratio. For more information, please refer to the driver manual.

Note The system does not manage the Out of Range status when the maximum and the minimum values are both set to zero.
