How to get help
The X Editor IDE has a window of Context Sensitive Help which displays the main reference information about the active element.
More details can be found in the Online Help, activated from the menu "? " which contains reference information about all of the standard components of the system.
The Online Help contains all the reference information on the package. Specific topics can be identified in the Summary, while the Search tool allows you to identify, without knowing a priori the structure of the guide, information about a particular topic. For example, to get help regarding the use of the grid, you can type the word "Grid" as the search criteria and display all of the topics that contain that word.
The main configuration windows are also equipped with specific help pages that can be called up, depending on the type of window, using one of the following methods:
- Pressing "?" Or Guide or Help, when present
- "Help" commands inside the pages
- Pressing the F1 keyboard, for windows without commands
The modules that can be activated individually (e.g. Project Manager, Alarm History, OPC Client) also have their own online help selectable from the "?" Menu.
