Another possibility to compile the references to an object, making it animated, is to drag the desired item from the Database window directly on the object in question: the expression will be dropped on the default property of the object and the object is selected.

The default properties for each type of objects are listed below:

Type of animations

Default property

Basic geometric shapes in closed perimeter (rectangles, ellipses, polygons, areas, etc.).

Expression for dynamic background color

Basic geometric shapes in open perimeter, i.e. without background area (lines, arcs, polylines, etc.). Frame animation

Expression for dynamic color line / text

Text Animations

Expression for dynamic text

Picture Animations

Expression for dynamic background image

Special objects (Trends, Lists, Events, etc.).
