Alarms announcer
The announcer is a notification function that displays a message to alert the operator to the occurrence of a new alarm.
The announcer can operate in two different ways:
|
· Balloon Tip |
When a new alarm occurs, a message in the form of a ballon tip is displayed on the X Vision icon in the system tray (if enabled) that notifies the presence of a new alarm. The message is closed by clicking on it, or automatically after 30" from its appearance.
|
|
· Announcer |
When a new alarm occurs, a high visual impact window is displayed in the foreground, containing the list of active alarms for the station signaling group. The window is not closed automatically, but requires that the closing command be expressly issued. |
The use of the Balloon tip mode allows a more "discrete" notification and therefore generally more pleasant, which, on the other hand, does not guarantee that the user can see the notification as the message is automatically closed when the maximum viewing time has elapsed. On the contrary, the Announcer mode is much more invasive but guarantees the user's viewing of the notification, and provides more complete information by displaying the list of active alarms. Its high visual impact also makes it ideal to draw attention in very noisy environments, such as production departments, where acoustic signaling may not be heard.
Caution: It should also be noted that the Balloon tip mode is not effective for the stations on which the viewer is started in full screen, because the system tray - even if it is enabled - is hidden.
The configurator operating mode can be configured in the Notification section (General tab) of the alarm management system configuration window (see "Configuring the alarm management system").
