Management of the beeper on network stations
For systems that use network support, you can configure independently for each client station:
- The signaling group enabled to activate the beeper
- The beeper enablement
- The selection between system beeper and playback of a wave file (* .wav)
For further information refer to the chapter "Network stations" in this guide.
Alarm group enabled to activate the beeper
For each station it is possible to define the signaling group of competence: this allows to activate the beeper only in presence of alarms coming from items belonging to the specified group.
For example, suppose to assign each client to the supervision of a plant area: by associating to each area a signaling group it is possible to activate the beeper of each client exclusively for the alarms pertaining to the monitored area. Also the Alarm Summaries and the Event Lists will report only the events of interest in this case.
The Server station receives and manages the events belonging to all the signaling groups. For client stations, configuration is performed using the Net Client Configurator module; by default all groups are enabled.
Enabling the beeper
The beeper can be enabled or disabled independently for each client station. It is also possible to select, for each station, the acoustic signaling mode, choosing between the use of the system beeper and the reproduction of a wave file (* .wav). Configuration is performed using the Net Client Configurator module. By default, the same setting configured for the server station is assumed.
On the server station, the beeper enable status and its mode can be configured using the Beeper group fields in the Alarm Configuration window, as described in the "Configuration of the alarm management system" paragraph.
